Vince Passione
Chief Executive Officer & Founder
Vince is chief executive officer and founder of Fynanz, driving the vision and strategy for the company while overseeing the executive management team. Vince has extensive experience running successful financial services and high tech companies nationwide. Before founding Fynanz, Vince was the COO of DealerTrack, which built the nation’s first and largest credit portal connecting automotive dealerships to banks and credit unions. DealerTrack had a successful public offering in 2005 and today processes over 35% of all auto finance loan applications in the U.S. Previously, Vince was President of Ameritrade’s Institutional Client Division and was the CEO of OnMoney.com, an online personal financial management website. Vince has also held senior level positions at Citigroup including CTO of their U.S. Consumer Bank and COO of Citi Financial Interactive. He began his career at IBM and has a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from Polytechnic University.
Kailash Mathur
SVP, Operations
Kailash leads the Operations division at Fynanz. He brings to Fynanz over 20 years of student lending experience. He was the Chief Operating Officer of Campus Door for 7 years and was instrumental in product development, risk pricing, underwriting processes, origination platform, and all third-party agreements and relationships needed to advance Campus Door from just an idea to a successful private student loan origination platform and subsequent acquisition by Lehman Brothers in 2006. Kailash started his career at Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency in 1989 as an entry-level employee and worked his way up the management ranks. During his tenure he assisted with the servicing and development of numerous private lending programs. Kailash has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Chadwick University.
Jim Merrill
SVP, Sales & Business Development
Jim is the senior vice president that manages the Fynanz sales and business development teams. Jim has over 20 years of direct credit union and financial services experience. Before heading up the sales and partnership division of Fynanz, Jim was the senior vice president of business service for the New Jersey Credit Union League. He served as the primary liaison between all of the member credit unions and the league while managing the Professional Services Group and all key business areas/product lines. Jim also served as the chief executive officer of Fairless Credit Union and worked in multiple positions at banks and credit unions throughout his career, learning all aspects of lending and operations. Jim has served on the boards of CUSOs and has experience managing league relationships as well as partnerships across many different organizations. Jim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from York College of Pennsylvania.
